In the nocturnal background of New York's jet-set, David prostitutes his art for money, Adam his body. On one hand, a young celebrated painter who's prisoner of his disfigured and indefinite art, empty just like the world around him. On the other hand, a gigolo who restrains the slightest glimmer of humanity in himself: anaesthetized and cold , he chooses to not exist for the fear of existence. On the edge of the abyss, finally David meets his model, Adam, the only image which is able to define the void and maybe to embank it. But it's all useless. The model slippes away and the painter loses his soul. Empty again. "Eikon", icon, is the spiral where the opposites mix and cancel each other: love and hate, perversion and innocence, truth and lie, life and death. An opposite takes life from another and the story feeds on their own ambiguity. The end is a conscious delirium, uncertain till the very last page.

"My life has been just like building castles in the air. And he was the most beautiful product of my imagination. But the angel of the painting is unreal. Not even the painter in love with his model…"
